“Finally, local police were able to track the kid down with the help of surveillance footage. An officer called the boy’s father who arrived at the supermarket, picked up his kid, and took him back home for a spanking.”

Unfortunately this is reality in China. Question, who was in need of being spanked? Kid or kindergarten?

“Honestly, if were the dad, we would be a bit more concerned with the kindergarten’s security protocols, or apparent lack thereof.”

Lack? Even if you mean non-existing, then the dad should be more then a bit more concerned! But as long nothing serious happenend to the toddler there is no need to change anything, or?
